Steve VanGordon

Resumé/Bio

Mr. Van Gordon is a full time professional auctioneer operating primarily in the western United States. He has sold over 2,000 properties at auction since 1978, and has won a number of state and national awards for advertising and promotion of real estate auctions.  He is a member of the Oregon Auctioneers Hall of Fame, the 1991 Oregon State Grand Champion Auctioneer, and holds several specialized designations relating to the real estate discipline.

From 1979 thru 2004 he owned and operated Team Van Gordon Auctioneers, Inc., Oregon’s largest auction company selling commercial, industrial and residential real estate, in addition to machinery and equipment for every major lender in the western United States.

Mr. Van Gordon sold the personal property business in 2004 and redirected his focus to buying, selling, managing, auctioning, brokering, and exchanging real estate in the western states. He pioneered the use of the internet as a real estate marketing method and developed the system known as SBE (sealed bid electronic) auctions, which give potential buyers the convenience of bidding on real estate from their office or home with confidence.
